Pretty 1920s childrens print by Lawson Wood entitled " The Apple". The print shows a young girl and boy sitting on a wall. She is wearing a white bonnet and pinafore and holding a shiny apple in her hand. The boy looks on longingly.

Lawson Wood, sometimes Clarence Lawson Wood, (23 August 1878 – 26 October 1957), was an English painter, illustrator and designer known for humorous depictions of cavemen and dinosaurs, policemen, and animals, especially a chimpanzee called Gran'pop, whose annuals circulated around the world.

The print measures approx 8 x 10.75 inches ( 20.25 x 27.25 cm.) and is on coated paper. The print is in very good vintage condition and is ideal for matting and framing. The print was rescued from the 1920 edition of Blackie's Childrens Annual.

All my prints are originals and will be shipped in a poly sleeve inside a board backed envelope.
