Each one is hand molded and hand carved by me from a copy of an bronze original artifact of the Temple of Poseidon....they are different and have the unique strengths and weakness of a hand made item, i have hand carved and hand painted and added a layer of varnish to protect the finish..
they are very delicate and need to be placed away from childern, i would assume that any collector would not need to be told that...

these are relic sculpture so they will show the wear and the destruction of the original...some are more relic and less perfect the price will reflect the amount of detail involved...

THIS IS # washed in a pale 14kt gold finish..

yes he still bears the signs of a relic as he is been taken from the destruction and renewed,

.... approx 3" tall and 3" at the base...

Orphic Hymn 17 to Poseidon (Greek hymns C3rd B.C. to 2nd A.D.) :

"Hear, Poseidon, ruler of the sea profound, whose liquid grasp begirds the solid ground; who, at the bottom of the stormy main, dark and deep-bosomed holdest they watery reign. Thy awful hand the brazen trident bears, and sea's utmost bound thy will reveres. Thee I invoke, whose steeds the foam divide, from whose dark locks the briny waters glide; shoe voice, loud sounding through the roaring deep, drives all its billows in a raging heap; when fiercely riding through the boiling sea, thy hoarse command the trembling waves obey. Earth-shaking, dark-haired God, the liquid plains, the third division, fate to thee ordains. 'Tis thine, cerulean daimon, to survey, well-pleased, the monsters of the ocean play. Confirm earth's basis, and with prosperous gales waft ships along, and swell the spacious sails; add gentle peace, and fair-haired health beside, and pour abundance in a blameless tide."

Poseidon (Po-se-da-o) seems to have occupied a place of privilege. He was a chthonic deity, connected with the earthquakes (E-ne-si-da-o-ne:earth shaker), but it seems that he also represented the river spirit of the underworld as it often happens in Northern European folklore.[58]Also to be found are a collection of "Ladies" (po-ti-ni-ja :lady or mistress) like the "mistress of the Labyrinth" (da-pu-ri-to po-ti-ni-ja) at Knossos in Crete, who calls to mind the myth of the Minoan labyrinth. The title was applied to many goddesses. In a Linear B tablet found at Pylos are mentioned the "two mistresses and the king
