AIRLINE Model 93WG-601 Art Deco Radio (1939)

It doesn't get much more Deco than this! Here is a fabulous Airline model 93WG-601 from 1939. The bakelite cabinet is perfect with no chips or cracks and has been expertly refinished in deep red. This uniquely designed radio has two wheels, one for on/off/volume control, and one for tuning, which turns a roller with the frequencies and the old time station call numbers. Has functional push buttons, AND the "Magic Tuning Eye". This "Eye" is a vacuum tube especially designed with a top that indicates the tuning of a station by closing a glowing circle. Has new grille cloth and line cord. Missing cardboard back. This is a 6 tube radio that has been recently electronically serviced and plays strongly and clearly. Receives on AM band. This stunning Deco table top radio would look great in the kitchen, on a desk or nightstand and is sure to get a lot of oohs and ahhhs!
