A butterfly spreads it's wings.
It knows no fences. No borders.
Only the pain of change, and the freedom it brings; a joy that makes it all worth while.
The sun kisses everyone who looks toward the sky. ~PP

Common map butterfly wings hand carved from century old reclaimed walnut hardwood and hand sanded in pairs for shaping.
Hand painted with care.
Sealed with a water based environmentally friendly satin sealant for waterproofing and lightly sanded again between coats to make them smooth to the touch.
Made by me.

Each wing is 3cm long and 2.3cm at their widest.
14 karat gold filled findings.
All earrings come carefully packaged in a pretty handmade soft envelope that is great to reuse for travelling (see last photo).

Common map butterflies can be found in Northern India and Pakistan to Japan.

Butterflies are beautiful and fascinating creatures. Symbols of freedom, courage, hope, and transformation. Unfortunately, all species of butterflies and our eco systems as a whole are greatly affected by pesticides, genetic modification of crops, deforestation, pollution, and climate change.

All pieces are truly one-of-a-kind and made with love and attention to detail.
Butterflies come with a brief description of type, location, and how they are made.
