This Catholic chaplet is a one-decade rosary, and it is one of my prettiest. I handmade the cross, ten bicones and fish with violet and gold clay because these colors symbolize royalty -- Christ the King. They were fired, then handbuffed to a velvet smoothness, perfect for handling. The reverse side of the cross is metallic gold clay with a mica shift effect. The fish was glazed with gold acrylic paint mixed with Pearl-Ex interference violet powder for a glimmery effect. Spacer beads include Miyuki fuchsia square beads with metallic gold finish and size 8 dark fuchsia-lined seed beads. All are strung on nylon-coated multistrand steel beading wire for strength and durability, with goldplated crimps, two twisted wire bail rings and split ring. This is a highly detailed, exquisite work of religious art.
