Easy to follow, step by step plans to build this four-shelf harvest rack, perfect for ripening fresh garden vegetables like tomatoes and peppers - or for drying and curing onions, garlic, potatoes, peppers and more!

The completed harvest / drying rack measures 39" wide x 24" deep and 58" tall. The rack has (4) separate 36" wide x 24" shelves that are covered with hardware cloth to allow air to circulate as vegetables ripen or dry. With a total of 24 square feet of storage space, this rack can hold a large harvest with ease!

The Harvest Rack can be built with just (7) 2 x 4 x 8's and a roll of hardware cloth. When not in use for the garden season, the harvest rack makes an excellent storage vessel for gardening supplies and more.

Tools Needed To Complete These Plans :

Miter Saw or Circular Saw

Drill/Screwdriver or Screw Gun

1/8” Drill Bit for Pre Drilling Holes

Staple Gun or Hammer (If using “U”
nails to attach hardware cloth)

Level or Square, Tape Measure

Jig Saw (optional if cutting the top
of the legs for a decorative look)

*A chop/miter saw works best for
making cuts, but a circular saw, jig
saw, or even a hand saw will work to
make the cuts.

Turned out great. I used cedar picket fence posts cut to size for the sides. I added D rings on the sides to hold garden stakes. Then used a garden fence weaved into posts to make an arch. I will have green pole beans going up one box’s side trellis. With bush beans planted in center of box. And cucumbers will climb up the other one with a trellis. Made two additional ones without trellis for tomatoes and peppers. Sealed with deck sealer so these will last years. Thank you so much.

I love how these turned out. The directions were so easy to follow. I plan on painting them and adding material to cover the sides.
