If Frieda Kahlo had been born in Oberammergau instead of Mexico, I'm pretty sure this would have been the look she would have been into. Vintage Landhaus Trachten dirndl with a floral corduroy bodice trimmed with green velvet and a virgin wool blend skirt. Bodice buttons up the front with six pewter buttons and the skirt is lined with cotton. In excellent vintage condition, this dirndl would best fit a modern size extra large, but please check the exact measurements to ensure the best fit.
Was 62 now 46 Euros
*What is Trachten? Trachten is the traditional folkloric clothing of Austria and Bavaria, the dirndl being the most famous example. Because it is generally worn for special occasions, most pieces are very well made of beautiful materials like soft cotton, linen and raw silk. In my shop I specifically carry high quality pieces that are wearable for the modern woman and do not have a cosume-like feel. This skirt would be great for any vintage gal who loves the sweet and sassy feel of trachten regardless of how close she might live to the alps.

How do I know if it will fit? It's important to make sure clothing you buy online fits, but luckily also very easy. To find out if the fit is right, lay pieces from your own wardrobe down flat and take the following measurements as needed:
Bodice: from armpit to armpit
Waist: smallest point at the middle
Hips: largest point at the middle
Shoulders: from arm to arm
Now double the numbers and compare them to what I have listed. If you have any questions or want to double-check any information (i.e. does the piece have any stretch, etc.) please feel free to contact me. Thanks!
