Owning a vintage train case is very personal.
It is a visible reflection of your personality.
To find one in the colors you want, and one in a petite size, is not easy to find.
Most of them have seen their better days.
If there is anyone out there, who fantasized of owning a train case,
not only, is this a unique shape and size, it is a rare piece, made by Emilio Pucci.
This undoubtedly was part of a luggage set, made around the 1960's.
His recognized signature is in the velvet design.
It has the original gold key, and leather key holder, to lock this gem.

Just so you know up front, the locking mechanism is missing the spring,
but still functional as is.
Normally, if you push the nob over, to release the latch,
the latch typically 'springs up' and opens the purse.
Here, you have to encourage the latch to open, by lifting it up yourself,
or you can have it repaired by a luggage or purse repair shop.
The key will indeed lock this.

Inside: There is a nice, clear mirror, secured onto one side,
by leather straps, which is removable.
Case is divided by a brass zippered compartment.
At one time, this must have included little glass jars and holders for various cosmetics
that would have been secured during travel by the leather strap on the other side.
If you have no use for that, you can remove the strap, by cutting it.
The inside, pristine, lined in soft sueded leather.
Wondering if this purse saw any use.

The outside of the purse is leather, and velvet.
The leather has seen some color wear, which can be polished,
and there is a small nik in the handle, that looks like it has been repaired,
and a dent on one top corner.

SIZE:
Measurements are approximate.
9" tall,
just under 13" wide.
6 5/8" wide gusset tapers up to aprox. 5" at the top.
Handle has a 4 1/2" drop.
Looks larger than stated measurements.
You will not be disappointed.
It will serve you for many, many decades.
