Can We Still Be Friends
Take It Like a Man
"I Can’t Feel My Face"
There are almost 2 pounds of habaneros in every gallon of this sauce with just enough vinegar to make it a liquid. Adding a teaspoon into your marinades or salsas will provide a faint citrus flavor along with a tremendous amount of heat. Use sparingly if you aren’t familiar with these peppers. 9/10 on a heat scale
"Can We Still Be Friends?"
It's hard to say which you notice first with this sauce, the spiciness of the cayenne or the heat of the habanero. Whichever it is, the peppers work together to make a thin sauce that will heat up any recipe without compromising the dish's flavor. If you're used to Frank's, Melinda's, Louisianna, etc this sauce is a great replacement as it has that level heat (maybe a touch hotter) but a much more round flavor thanks to the roasted garlic. This is a great all-purpose sauce or it is perfect for wings and chili. 8/10 on a heat scale
If you can get past the heat of the chocolate habanero (named for its color), this sauce has an unbelievable sweetness. With a combination of fruit and citrus, this Sweet Daddy is great for anything you want to brighten, especially seafood. 8/10 on a heat scale
"Take It Like a Man"
Once the heat of the habanero has deadened your tongue, you can taste the sweetness of the apricot and the tanginess of the mustard as they blend together to make a seriously hot sauce. You can use this as a dip on its own or try mixing it with sour cream or cream cheese for a killer spread. This is a great sauce to keep by the grill as it works well with any meat or even grilled potatoes. Also, 8/10 on a heat scale
Each additional bottle will be $6 plus extra $2 shipping.
Devil in the Details:
While there are no artificial ingredients or additives whatsoever, all sauces are shelf stable, but I suggest keeping them in the fridge to protect the flavor. The sauces are not only vegan* but gluten, soy, and peanut free (though I cannot guarantee that the kitchen does not contain traces of these allergens). The ingredient list is posted in the materials section. If you have any more specific questions, please feel free to convo me.
*“The Safe Word Is” contains Worcestershire sauce which has anchovies in it.
All hot sauces are made from organic farm fresh peppers in a sanitary environment. These aren’t something I just cooked up in my kitchen one day for my friends. Well, they are, but then I had to pay the state of KY much money to send a food inspector out to certify the kitchen I cook in (a commercial space provided by the university), myself (certified food service manager), and my process (tedious pepper pulping, constant fumigation, hot-fill bottling, and bleach cleaning). Rest assured that each bottle has been painstakingly prepared with the utmost care and concern towards quality and safety.
