Beautiful vintage, supple leather cream colored Perrin gloves with an interesting blue/gray wave pattern stitched on the top side, tiny decorative air holes punched parallel to the wave pattern and a scalloped border.

Condition: These gloves might have been worn, but I don't believe they were worn very many times. There are some small signs of wear such as a bit of darkening on the right hand glove's thumb and on the lower outside of both gloves' index finger - as if the gloves were used when driving (oh how romantic!) There is a tiny hole (see last photo) where the decorative stitching meets the scalloped edge, but this is hardly noticeable and appears to be more from the glove's original construction rather than from use.***

Size: 6 3/4

Length: approximately 22 cm

Brand: Gant Perrin (Perrin Gloves Paris - glove makers since 1893)

Material: leather (these glove are not lined)

Year: I'm not sure, but I would guess this is from the 60's or perhaps the 70's though I really cannot say as I am not an expert in this area. It is possible that they are older, but I prefer to guess on the short side rather than the long side.

History: These gloves, like the rest of the gloves that I will be putting in my Etsy shop have an interesting past. They come from Geneva, Switzerland where they were acquired in the early 80's/late 70's from a villa that was apparently a 'maison de repose' for Parisian ladies of the night!
