This necklace is bold and beautiful. It's sure to be a conversation piece. A truly one of a kind original. At this price, it's truly a steal!

I bezel set a beautiful piece of jasper (1 1/2 inch wide by 1 3/8 inch long) onto a textured sterling base plate. the bezel is made of fine silver and holds the stone securely in place. It is linked to a piece of reticulated silver.

The pendant is attached to a handmade sterling silver viking knit necklace. There is more than 20 feet of fine gauge sterling silver wire in this piece! The viking knit is finished off with handmade silver wire caps and sterling silver beads. There are a few sterling links added for length and a handmade sterling "S"-clasp to finish it off.

The whole piece was oxidized with liver of sulfur to bring out the textures and patterns in it. I used fine 0000 steel wool to give it a satin finish. You can use fine 0000 steel wool to keep the piece clean and to control the oxidation process.

This necklace is 19 inches long but hangs shorter than that because it's formed like a collar. It hangs more like a 17 1/2ish inch necklace. It has a few links so can be worn shorter. I can also add an extender if you need one - just let me know in "note to seller."

The chain might get a little smooched in the mail. It's very flexible and easy to manipulate. Simply use your fingers to re-shape and adjust the chain to your liking.
