I made the seat for this rustic stool from a spalted maple slab reclaimed from the sawmill slab pile. The birch legs came from a houselot being cleared for a new home in the area. It is constructed in the sturdy mortise and tenon fashion, with the tops of the legs going right through the seat, and being glued and wedged. It was sanded smooth and finished with the traditional linseed oil and turpentine. The seat measures 6" by 9 1/2", the base 7" by 12 1/2" and is 9" high. Thank you for visiting our shop on ETSY.
