What a fun discovery for both a boot freak and a Chloe fan! In case you missed them on the first incarnation, these are some authentic and supremely rad vintage NaNa tolteca harness boots complete with hidden elastic at the side panels (as opposed to a zipper closure like you might find in some ankle style short harness boots/booties) and real deal leather soles (which the current line can't even boast). Total 90s punk/grunge classics and you can buy the real thing here at Granny's Bootery, saving yourself the couple hundred bucks that you'd have to spend to get a pair from the highly anticipated 90's throwback line she did under Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony, a three way collaboration with NaNa which revived some of Ms. Sevigny's favorite styles from their boot archives.

Fun Fact: Although I can't brag to have personally thrifted with Chloe here in Nashville in the 90s, I was lucky enough to have met her around that time, (yaaasss...at Harmony's house, since I was buddies with his little sis... okay...now I AM bragging...) and I remember hearing of her infamous jaunts in our secondhand haunts in Music City, scooping up pinstriped jeans and pink tinted denim as well as other 80s pieces she found interesting for one reason or another. Our mom, or should I say Granny, even ran into her in one of our favorite shops and chatted her up a bit, back when she was in her 40s and not even a Granny yet, just the mom of a chubby toddler who now helps run this shop (Sorry, Maddog). My hair used to stand on end and I always felt a sense of true urgency whenever I knew that chick was in town cause she had/has incredible style and legitimate thrifting skills and she knows what she likes!
Dangerous, right?

True Nashville Vintage early adopter, featured here today! Viva la Sevigny!

Maker/Brand: NaNa Tolteca - Los Angeles
Marked Size: Maybe 10? It's also too hard to read.
Modern Fit: US Men's 10

See measurements below to insure sexiest fit:

11 5/8" total outside length (with heel against wall, measured to toe)
11 1/4" length outer sole (from back edge of heel to end of sole)
4" width outer sole (at widest part)
6 1/8" height of uppers (from top of cuff to beginning of sole)
1 3/8" height of heel (including thickness of sole)
11 1/4" circumference (stretchy though)

What's the damage?

The damage is almost inconsequential when held in the light of the quality of construction. The founder of NaNa went to great lengths to combine "industrially-inspired street cred" with genuine wearability and durability. In other words, these aren't just for show, people. The rubber heel caps are definitely worn but genuine leather soles are still in great shape after many years. Heel caps can be replaced fairly inexpensively. These boots show signs of wear but the authenticity factor far outweighs the so called "damage".
