Gorgeous 1920s flapper dress.

✧ emerald green crêpe and silk velvet
✧ celluloid or bakelite brooches with green centers and paste rhinestone accents
✧ lovely ruching details throughout
✧ sweet bow at the right hip
✧ gathered darts at the elbows for shape and ease of movement
✧ snaps at the wrists to ensure a narrow fit

I think of this dress as the Sherwood Forrest dress... it reminds me ever so much of a female flapper version of Robin Hood. It is in really phenomenal condition for its age, and is sturdy enough to stand up to some degree of regular wear; very rare for a 1920s piece! Absolutely stunning for any especially special event, or even as especially special day wear!

This dress was custom made over 80 years ago -- it is truly a treasure and one of a kind! There is not another one like it in all the world!!

Excellent vintage condition, particularly given the age of this garment! One tiny tear on the front side of the dress not far above the silk velvet trim, only 5mm in length and 1mm in height. A few tiny pinholes: one near the tear, one hidden in the left underarm, and a couple at the bottom of the velvet at the hem. Extremely faint discoloration under the arms, as shown in the photos; it is so so subtle, and will be essentially unnoticeable when worn. The bottom rhinestone is missing from the bottom pin, and is present but darkened on the top pin. Truly remarkable condition for a dress that is over 80 years old!!
