Soft and thin cotton blend dress will keep you fashionably colored this spring. Mid 1960s dress features two tones of green, both grass and mint in a swirly organic pattern. Round neckline is accented with piping. Heavily darted bust extends into a skirt of inverted pleats. Bodice is lined in thin cotton, skirt is not. Closes at center back with a nylon zipper topped with a metal hook and thread eye. I have always worn this with a thin period petticoat. Comes with it's original matching fabric covered belt.

Labeled: L'Aiglon Use Cool Iron Avoid Steam HAND WASH

The Vintage Fashion Guild has this to say about the L'Aiglon label used since 1919:

Its founder, Joseph Biberman, committed suicide in 1933 as a result of financial difficulties during the Great Depression. The company, however, survived, and continued to make inexpensive but stylish and attractive dresses for women and juniors. During the 1950s, L’Aiglon dresses were used as costumes on the soap opera, The Edge of Night. The company produced dresses until about 1968.

Also bears the ILGWU Union Label that dates from 1963 to 1974 and ensures that someone was paid a living wage to make this garment.

I do not pin clothing on models, but prefer instead to show you my garments on people they actually fit. I'm more concerned with your actual purchase rather than selling you an unrealistic image. My measurements at the time of this photo shoot were 39-31-41 and I stand 5'10" tall.

~Bust: Up to 44"
~Waist: Up to 34"
~Hip: Full
~Sleeve length: 7.5"
~Length from shoulder to waist: 17"
~Length from waist to hem: 25" + 3" hem
~Sweep: 86"
~Belt adjusts: 32"-34"

Good condition rating a 5 out of 10. There are a few very small snags in the fabric and a little fraying around the belt buckle. Some pulling to seams near the zipper. The main problem is seen in photo #4. There is a repaired tear located in the middle of the back right pannel, half way down the skirt near a pleat. It's not very noticeable while wearing with a petticoat, but present nonetheless. Ready to wear and priced with these flaws in mind.
