This is easily the oldest hand operated butter churn I've come across in my many years of "treasure" hunting!

I cannot find any manufacturer markings on this butter churn, but through research, I am quite sure it dates back to the early 1900's. Made of what seems to be galvanized metal, it is still in good operational condition. The inside has a 4 section beater that operates with the turn of the black wood handle.

The condition of the piece is very good, with only the normal aged patina you see on old metal. No rust anywhere!

Stands about 11 inches tall including the handle on the lid. The lid fits snugly on the base as it should. No dents in the metal anywhere.

This is not only a functional piece, but a great decorative item in a country or farmhouse kitchen. If you aren't using it, it would look awesome with the lid propped at the side and a plant sitting inside the basin. Perhaps you could store and display your kitchen utensils in it? It's just a very cool conversation piece. It's one of those antique pieces that will last forever and always increase in value. Truely, a rare find!!
