Pullman's Smoking Room - Railway Car Construction. Black & white reproduction of an etching on creamy paper that is a little browned.

It's another wonderful print/book plate from an antique book. This print is a page from Railway Car Construction; A Work Describing in Detail and Illustrating with Scale-Drawings the Different Varieties of American Cars as Now Built. This book is by William Voss; Published by R. M. Van Arsdale, Proprietor of "National Car and Locomotive Builder,", New York. 1892.

Paper is heavy; printing on the back side is not visible on the front. The page is 10 1/2" by 7 3/4"; the image would fit in an opening 4 3/4" by 7 1/2".

The spine of this book was missing; there is water staining around the top edge of the page that doesn't come close to the image. The book had a number of pages torn or torn out when I acquired it.
