A RARE 19th century antique sterling silver amulet pendant worn by the tribal people of Rajasthan in northern India. The amulet pendant is in the shape of the square form symbolic of a house plan and family unity, and die-stamped with a separate silver sheet backing attached, and two bale.

The subject of the amulet are the Hindu Gods Lord Ganesha, the four armed form, and Pavarti with a Trishul. At the bottom of the amulet under Lord Ganesha is Ganapati, the rat, Lord Ganesha’s vehicle on Earth. It has a decorative floral die-stamped border.

The amulet has been tested for high grade siver 92.5% approx.
