This is an antique 19th Century Folk Style Fertility Amulet, from Himachal Pradesh in Northern India.

A rectangular form amulet, symbolic of a house plan and family unity, die-stamped with a silver border added and what were floral units, now worn smooth from ritual rubbing, to cover the joins.

This is a late 19th or early 20th century fertility amulet pendant with the image of a cow and seven offspring.

The amulet has been tested for high grade silver 92.5% approx.

Weight: 20 grams (0.705 oz).
Measurements:
Width: 4.2cm (1 5/8")
Height: 5cm (2")
Two decorative bales (6mm).
Hand Made Cotton Cord: 18"

This silver amulet pendant is quite tarnished. I have left it tarnished because I find that many people prefer it that way. This amulet will polish up beautifully
