Cut from one sheet of paper, continous cut, amazing detail and skill. 8 x 10 Japanese Intricate Paper Cut of Geisha Playing an Instrument in a wood frame. Paper color is beige or darker cream color, due most likely from age toning.

Paper cutting by trained artisans in Japan is highly regarded and this is a fine example of this craft. Inscription or signature cut on the right side but unable to translate. Will let those more knowledgeable to decipher. Interesting a nice display condition piece. Estimate made in the 1950-60's.

In Good Condition without damage, no tears, rips or cuts. One very subtle foxing spot or slight paper fading on the upper left corner area. Does not detract and seems to be a minor wear.

Wood frame is in good intact vintage used condition. Replaced very old cardboard backing with new acid free foam board. Resealed with backing paper.

If you prefer can consider shipping without the frame at a reduced ship cost either prior to purchase or credit after purchase. Will ship picture securely between mat boards if you prefer. Contact me if you prefer this otherwise will be shipped in the frame. Enjoy and ask any questions.
