An aristocratic greyhound dog wax seal necklace pendant, standing tall and alert.
Greyhounds were so identified with the aristocracy that many families chose them to be represented on their family crest... so many that the greyhound is the most common heraldic dog. In heraldry, greyhounds symbolize fidelity, alertness and undying affection.
King Henry VIII (1491 - 1547) adopted the greyhound as his personal standard and it remains the symbol of the House of York to this day!

The greyhound dog wax seal charm is small, measuring approximately 1/2" and is suspended on a sterling silver chain with a spring ring clasp. Select the chain length or just the charm at checkout.

More chains, charm catchers and swivel fobs are available here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/suegrayjewelry?section_id=6761412&ref=shopsection_leftnav_6

I created the greyhound dog wax seal necklace charm by hand casting a wax seal from an antique cube seal, dating back to 1841, into fine silver (.999 pure and recycled silver) and then oxidized and polished it to antique it and highlight the details.
