This is a lovely little pair of vintage binoculars by Lemaire Fabt, Paris, dating to the 1920s or older and used for viewing horse races or opera. The binoculars are a gold-colored metal (brass or brass plate) with black paint on the upper part. This is a wonderful pair for display or casual use.

The eyepieces are signed Lemaire Fabt Paris with a little bee logo.

The binoculars work well, with a turning knob that adjusts for distance. The outside has some wear to the finish and a few little dents. The optics are fairly good; the right front lens is a little foggy in the center and yellowed but still pretty easy to see out of. You can see in the front a yellow ring on part of that lens (glue perhaps) and dirt or something on the inside. The other lens isn't totally clean inside, but looked amazingly clear when I looked through it.

Size: 4 1/4 inches wide x 4 inches long extended (10.7 x 10.2 cm)
