Our rustic oak floating shelves are handcrafted from the finest quality character grade kiln dried European oak. The edges are hand distressed and surfaces textured which gives the appearance of a centuries old, time worn piece of reclaimed oak. These oak shelves come in 6" deep (15cm) and is supplied in a thickness of between 1.25" (32mm) Available in lengths up to 6ft.

FIXINGS
Our rustic oak floating shelves 6" deep are supplied with concealed fixings capable of supporting your shelf with ease. Our skilled workshop joiners machine precise holes in the back of the shelves to accept the concealed supports. Each order comes with detailed, easy to follow fitting instructions. The fittings provided work best fixing into brick, stone or breeze block walls. They can be fixed to stud walls where timber uprights can be located.


WOOD
We always use oak sourced from sustainably managed forests. We aim to manufacture our rustic shelves to the highest possible standard. Some shelves will be manufactured from two or more boards to create the required depth. This does not detract from the overall quality and results in further stability. Made from kiln dried oak this means your shelf will not warp, twist or crack once installed in your home. As oak is a natural product, each piece can vary with regards to: knots, colour, grain pattern and other distinguishing features. We can not treat any of these as defects.

FINISH
We offer a truly comprehensive range of colour options using industry leading wood stains which penetrate deep into the woods surface providing a superior depth of colour. A top coat of beeswax offers a water resistant finish. Our unique and vibrant colour range can create an industrial shelf for any setting. Natural colour variation can be expected.


DELIVERY & RETURNS
We offer FREE delivery to most of the UK. Some areas may be subject to additional charges. Each rustic shelf is handmade in our North Yorkshire workshop and then dispatched with a next working day courier. We offer no quibble returns for unused items in their original condition within 30 days unless bespoke requests have been requested at the time of order.


ECO-POLICY
It is our mission to operate in the most environmentally friendly way possible. Through substantial investment and careful planning, we have reached 0% wastage throughout our entire manufacturing process. The shavings our machine processes create are compressed into high density briquettes directly from our dust extraction unit to use as fuel. Offcuts products during the manufacturing process are used to heat our biomass boiler system which provides heat and hot water for our workshop, showroom and office. Our timber is sourced from reliable and reputable sawmills. We use cardboard packaging for most of our items, any waste cardboard is shredded for void fill.
