White throwster silk fiber is a soft, degummed silk waste fiber for spinning, blending, dyeing and textured textile work. Its loose, irregular strands can bring natural silk texture to handspun yarn, woven surfaces, embellishment and fiber art. This is unspun fiber, not a finished yarn.

Color: white / natural. The fiber has been bleached and the sericin removed, so it can be dyed to your preferred shade. As reclaimed silk fiber, strand length and texture may vary between packs.

Choose 250 g, 500 g, 1 kg or 2 kg from the weight menu. Please select your pack before checkout. If you are planning a custom color, message us to discuss availability before placing the order.

The silk throwster waste is clean and without any notable smells etc. My order also came with a free gift of a few mulberry silk carrier rods, which was a nice surprise. My only complaint was that shipping was slower than expected, with the order arriving almost two weeks later than the last day in the estimated shipping window. Overall though for the price I was still happy!
