I made things similar to this for an article in Somerset Life last year using oil cans. I just love the idea of taking these shabby old objects and making them have another purpose...like a photograph or note or ephemera holder. The curls are reminiscent of some of my favorite Brian Andreas sculptures.
Each one is partly filled with resin, which holds the curls of wire in the bottom in place. The wire can be styled any way you wish to hold wedding signs, table place holders, special photos, and anything else you can dream up. Pretty and compact for your desk or office space!
These shabby holders are created with old silver plated antique salt and pepper shakers. The larger one (C) is 4 1/2" tall, not including the wire.
The shorter one (D) is about 3" tall not including the curled wire.
These are weighted, and won't topple.
THIS LISTING IS FOR SHAKER D. "Kisses for Luck" with the wishbones and the X"
