Here is a breath taking, high end designer vintage coat. It was hand made by Forstmann circa 1940's, a label that denoted top quality. Coats like this one are just not made anymore. The attention to detail, craftmanship and material would be upwards in the hundreds in today's market. It is completely hand finished and looks expensive.

This coat is made of soft wool in a gorgeous fit and flare design. It has hand bound button holes with fabric covered buttons that is a true sign of high quality. The waist is fitted and enhanced with a narrow band of fabric and has a hidden hook and eye fastner. The long, full sleeves widen at the elbows and flare out towards the end. They have a separate inner silk liner with an elastic cuff that helps to keep the cold out. The skirt is full and billowy. There are hidden seam pockets on the sides. It is lined in jet black silk. This is a heavy, toasty warm coat. It is very dramatic and not for the shy flower!

This amazing coat is in excellent, clean condition. No moth damage, fading or stains. The only thing to mention is the that the left pocket has no lining. That can be easily repaired for a few dollars at the tailor. The fabric is strong and wearable.

It will fit a size SMALL best...

Bust: 36/38"

Shoulder: 16"

Sleeve: 17" from under armpit to end.

Waist: 30"

Length: 50" from the back of the neck to hem.
