A 1950s (1955 to be exact) Givenchy for Talbott uber-soft cornflower blue cardigan sweater with two sweet sewn-in bows decorating the waist.

*Label: Sweater has a "Givenchy original design Paris" label, as well as a "Full Fashioned by Talbott" label. These sweaters were designed by Hubert de Givenchy for Talbott, and were part of Givenchy's spring 1955 collection. (Thanks to Lizzie Bramlett of fuzzielizzie.com who provided this information; you can read more here: http://vintagefashionguild.org/label-resource/givenchy/)
*Sweater is "Taralan made from DuPont acrylic Orlon"
*Knit-covered buttons; button-up back (or front--but I think the bows look cuter in front!); ribbed collar and cuffs; banded waist; grosgrain ribbon lining the button plackets
*Sweater shows some very minor pilling
*Two faint, tiny yellow spots to back of sweater--see pics
*Very good condition overall, with no other stains, and no holes or tears

No size tag; sweater measures like a US women's S. Measurements (flat, unstretched):
*14 1/2" (36.75 cm) across shoulders
*36" (91.25 cm) bust
*31" (78.75 cm) waist
*Armholes measure 17" (43 cm) in circumference at shoulders
*18 3/4" (47.5 cm) top center back collar seam to bottom hem
