Vintage Porcelain Dish Tashiro Shoten Divided 1930s Pre WWII. This incredibly beautiful floral motif divided plate is a piece of workmanship that can be attributed to the Tashiro Shoten Ltd porcelain shop in Yokohama. The use of the word "Shoten" indicates the name for a shop that sells products from its own kiln. The beautiful pattern and colors were obviously based on that of Gaudy Welsh ( interestingly based on Japanese Imari colors). It has the early red elephant tusk mark and dates to the 1930’s. A beautiful decorating accent and a wonderful gift for those who collect pre-WWII china.

Measures 9.5” long x 6” at widest point

In fabulous vintage condition, no chips or cracks. There is a crazing on the underside of the dish (see 4th photo) but that is all.

Marked Made in Japan and elephant tusk . Tashiro Shoten Ltd porcelain shops were active before WWII and closed in 1954.
