Exotic Amazique wood is also known as Ovangkol or Shedua, this beautiful African hardwood has been used by several high end instrument companies Worldwide for many years now. It is noted for its good tonality, color, and reasonable price. From Equatorial West Africa, Its color is similar to East Indian Rosewood and the grain is interlocked like Bubinga. In fact, Amazique is from the same family as Bubinga and shares many of the same traits. The bowl measures 10 inches in diameter and is 2 inches tall. This is a beautiful piece.

Larry Fritz, the artist, is a self-taught wood-turner, lathe artist and craftsman, originally from Northwestern Ohio. He has honed his skills for over fifty years.

He produces a variety of work including one-of-a-kind bowls, platters, vases, hollow vessels, boxes and gift items at his residence in Texas. His clients reach around the world, from Norway to Japan.

All of his work is crafted from reclaimed domestic and hardwoods and other unique and exotic woods, frequently incorporating natural inclusions as design elements. Item #22
