I love this mini shrine that my hubby made from an old beat up frame which he upcylcled by hand sanding, painting, attaching a hand cut pine backing, then he shellacked it to make it shiny. I am showcasing the frame by adorning it with an original photograph that I took at the annuel Day of the Dead event in Hollywood Cemetary a few years ago. I loved this skull shrine... so colorful and vibrant. He finishes the back of the frame by engraving it with our name : mariposafuerte

I have adonred this shrine with a large paper flowers, in hot pink

This is a great addition to any Day of the Dead altar.

Frame measures approx 7.5" x 5 3/4"

Each frame is uniquely handcrafted and has some unevenness which is the fun of Mexican folk art.

The back of the frame in the picture is just an example of what the back looks like... not true to this one...

Day of the Dead Calavera (skull) Shrine- so colorful with original photograph from Hollywood Cemetery Celebration
