This cabochon is the result of kiln slumping a rather lovely burlesque bead. The original bead was a purple corset bead with a rich pink rose in the centre of the cleavage. If you are wondering why I would slump a bead like this, unfortunately I was a bit rough then I was cleaning out the mandrel hole and chipped it... a tiny chip, but enough to render the bead unusable really. If you look at the pic of the back of this cab you will see the stringer work of the laces.

This cab is approx 3.6cm round with a depth of 5mm. Being a cabochon this does not have a hole. The back is slightly rough from sitting on the kiln paper, but the top is lovely and smooth and shiny. Would make a fabulous seed beaded cab or just glue on a bail for an instant pendant. This was made using lovely bright italian glass in 104COE.

All my beads are kiln annealed for strength and durability and I thoroughly clean them of bead release. I am proud to be a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers (ISGB) and are a Self Representing Artist both internationally and as a member of the Australian and New Zealand SRA organisation.

Price includes postage & packaging to any location in the world.
