Vintage Hat Scottish Bonnet 1940s. This fine woolen scottish bonnet has a 1940’s *De Pinna, Fifth Avenue, New York label in it. Beautifully made and In wonderful vintage condition with no stains, pulls or rips. it will fit a small woman’s or a girl’s head. There is a cheerful plaid band around the rim with grosgrain ribbons that hang down the back. Beautiful to wear or to display. In exceptional condition (looks as if it was never worn) for such an old piece.

*De Pinna was a very high end men’s shop located on New York City’s Fifth Avenue and was founded in 1885. They also sold menswear-inspired clothing for women that was finely tailored. In the early 1950s De Pinna was bought by the Washington, DC store Julius Garfinckle & Co..
