1917 Model No. 5 Underwood typewriter. SERIAL NUMBER P58344. New ribbon, good condition. The price is for this non-serviced machine AS IS. I can't personally vouch for the state of all the manual levers because there are many side levers that I don't know the functions of; they all seem to work and run smoothly, I'm just not sure what they do. There are many more manual functions on this 1917 model than the '20s & '30s models I am more familiar with.

The machine was well preserved, but the rubber on small rollers that flip over on top of a sheet of paper and help move the paper up when you roll the main carriage has dried up and cracked; I put small black rubber loops over the dried rubber rollers, which helps the function but is not a professional fix. The machine has been oiled and the carriage runs very smoothly, but a few keys occasionally stick. With a minor clean up by a professional typewriter servicer it would run good as new!

Dimensions: 9"h x 15"w x 13"d
Weight: 30 lbs
