Vintage Keystone "Lajean" Cannonsberg Pottery Set of Six Desert Plates Circa 1940's.
I found these at an estate sale and fell in love with the floral design and the 22kt gold trim.

The Canonsburg Pottery was founded in 1909, Canonsburg was a borough south of Pittsburgh. They created some of the finest dinnerware in the U.S. Renowned for it's decaled china, the Company went out of business in 1978. The town is the former home to a radium refining mill and was once visited by Marie Curie.

Keystone is not a pattern but rather a shape onto which patterns were decaled. Plates have fluted edges, similar to the head of a key.

This is set of six desert plates, in excellent condition. the center floral motif has shades of pinks, yellows, oranges, whites and blues with a egg shell background. The border is 22kt done in scrolls. The edges of each plate are scalloped design. Each plate measures 7 1/4" in diameter.

This would be a great gift for the vintage china lover.

Let's have a tea party I will bring the Petit Fours.
