Regalis.. "royal, kingly, belonging to a king,
Nautilus.. a marine cephalopod, c.1600, from Latin, nautilus. In Pliny a kind of marine snail
The cephalopod was formerly thought to use its webbed arms as sails.

The patina was the developed mysteriously as if a 'stormy sea' on the solid copper focal..(thanks to and her patinas) ..then brass riveting and a glass 'port hole'..with a bubbly octopus (Kraken..perhaps?) looking in.
All the while, I was unable to keep out of my head Davy Jones crew and their deep sea 'wardrobe' from the film, 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. All those wonderful mollusks and marine creatures 'growing', evolving and transforming humans into a strange mix of sea life.

So..'growing' here you find sea greens and blues.. hand patina-ed brass starfish, chains, rings and a mix of 'maritime' brass and copper findings., natural sea shells set in vintage trinkets and tiny treasures..swarovski pacific blue opal crystals, glass 'bubbles',and not to forget..even Davy Jones' heart is locked away here.

This 'loot' dangles and clinks from a long distressed copper ball necklace...28" (72cm) Looks great, too, worn wrapped around twice, closer to the neck.
All metal patina-ed parts are carefully sealed, then hand buffed with 2 coats of wax..for long wear and safe on the skin.

This pendant necklace is definitely one of a kind..impossible to re-create.

You can find more sea 'treasures' here..

Comes with its own MiddleEarths 'precious' pouch.
