S A L E I T E M (WAS £8 - NOW £4)
The Universal Home Doctor Illustrated, edited by R. Scott Stevenson, published by Odhams Books, 1968.

Full of atmospheric and evocative photographs from the 1940's and 50's, including ante- and post-natal exercises (you've got to love her knickers!), quaint British hospitals and nurses, and the care of newborn babies. Also has kitsch 1950's illustrations and diagrams throughout, some rather funny, about the dangers of spilling hot drinks on babies, how to deal with car accidents and various ways of bandaging different limbs, among others.

Nice moody grey board covers with red block and gilt lettering on spine.
Published: 1968, Odhams Books.
Very good condition. Slight tear at top corner of spine. Some foxing on a few pages. Sturdy copy.
