This original ink drawing, 'Bath Abbey', is one of a series inspired by a recent holiday in Bath. This view is looking towards the Abbey from beside the Roman Baths. (The ornate 'bridge' was apparently built just to take a hot water pipe from the Baths to the city laundry!) I've drawn the dark areas in a scribbly style, to add life to the shading, and the sewn line provides an outline.

This drawing is 5 x 6 1/2 inches and is in a soft grey acrylic ink on watercolour paper. (The paper is cream but this doesn't show up well in the photos.) It is sewn with grey thread onto a second sheet of watercolour paper (8 x 10 inches) for extra stability, and so that it can be popped straight into a standard-sized picture frame. The final image shows a possible framing option.

The acrylic ink is stated to be fadeproof, but it's probably best to keep the drawing out of direct sunlight.
