What a stunner! Simplicity 3361 is a vintage 1940s sewing pattern for a two-piece dress duo of jacket-cut blouse and skirt that echoes the sinuous silhouette of the 1930s while presenting the structured look of 1940s fashions. The softly flared skirt is shaped with an inverted pleat at the center front and finished with a self-fabric belt. The jacket-style blouse is dart-fitted in the front and back; in Style I, the blouse has short sleeves finished with cuffs and faced patch pockets which fold to outside to form flaps while Style II has long sleeves darted into the armholes. Both styles feature a notched lapel collar and front button closings.

Printed in 1940, the envelope has light creasing, foxing, edge wear and a tear on the left side (and don't you just adore the hairstyles of the ladies on front!). The printed pattern is pre-cut; Piece P (short sleeve cuff; if you can sew the rest, you have the talent to design a custom cuff!) is missing but all other pieces major and minor are present, including the instructions. Measurements are given as:

Bust: 30"
Waist: 26"
Hip: 33"
Finished length: of skirt, 28 1/2"; of jacket blouse, 20 1/4"

Add this splendid pattern to your collection and stitch the era-changing beauty of Simplicity 3361!
