This delightful ring has interchangeable round stones which screw on! In the original box, the set is missing 3 of the stones :(. The pale green orb is glass or stone (or jadeite?) and the others are coated with different tones of pearlized glaze. The glaze is cracked on the silver colored orb, but it isn't chipping off. The silver one is cracked where it's not visible when worn. One bead lost it's coating.
The ring is marked Sterling, and probably had a rhodium plating, which has worn. There are 3 old, darkened rhinestones along each side of the setting which still reflect some light. The ring is a size 6 1/4. The set probably dates to the 30s. There is no marking on the box (other than age spots!). I don't know who made this, but it's pretty ingenious. Each orb screws on securely.
You can get at least 3 diffferent looks with this ring. Neat!
(the "6" on the box is not what I paid!!!)
