Original hand made tribal jewelry from the area known as Pashtun, Pakistan. NOT new merchandise. Made from a base of Brass and mixed with copper/silver/iron and could contain small amounts of nickel.

**note: beautifully hand crafted bracelet .. 6-1/2" long..*****

THE FACTS ABOUT KUCHI JEWELRY: It's made of brass (75 to 80%) and the rest is copper/sliver/iron/. The surface of the jewelry pieces are then buffed with thick silver plating after wards to give it a finish and that's the reason that old KUCHI JEWELRY pieces when worn out with age look “brassy”. I am sure some have witnessed this with your worn out KUCHI JEWELRY.

The KUCHI jewelry we are selling is from a lot that came to me from the area in Northern Pakistan many years ago… before it was so difficult to get in and out of that area. This is NOT new jewelry (was not new when I got it, in fact very old) and therefore may be missing a link here or there, and they will be oxidized. Some brass may be showing through. Please look at the photos closely to see what you are getting. Thank you for looking at our items.

This jewelry can be easily cleaned using mild liquid dish soap and a SOFT toothbrush... the reason we have not cleaned them is so that you can see the age and patina of the jewelry.
