Background of "Mother Anderson's Famous Dutch Kitchens":

The authors of this cookbook were the daughter and granddaughter of the Andersons who founded The Anderson House hotel in Wabasha, Minnesota in 1896. The hotel was known for it's Dutch cooking in the restaurant. It was also known for it's cats, which hotel guests could stay with for overnight companionship. Although the hotel had been in constant operation since it was built in 1856, sadly the inn was closed in 2009. It has been the longest operating Bed and Breakfast west of the Mississippi River.
