The Royal Albert ‘Old Country Roses’ pattern was designed by Harold Holdcroft and launched in 1962. It truly captures summer in the English countryside, taking both rich and soft colours, combined with lush deep red roses, the warmth of tea roses blush pink, softened by a wash of dark green foliage.

Royal Albert is the world’s most popular bone china, loved for its inherent beauty and unique designs. The success of Royal Albert’s royal association dates back to the late 1800s. In 1896, Thomas Wild took over the Albert Works near Stoke-on-Trent - the factory named the year before to commemorate the birth of Prince Albert. In 1897, Thomas Wild & Co produced a range of commemorative wares to celebrate Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee: an association with royalty that continues to this day and which led to the name of Royal Albert.

We search high and low to find unique vintage beautiful pieces. As most of our lovely plates are vintage they will come with a unique history and may have slight imperfections, we think this just adds to their charm!

Our plates will never have chips or cracks. But due to their vintage nature on the rare occasion may have light surface marks/scratches/gilt rub or crazing. Happy to send close up pictures before purchase.

Beautiful Tea Stand. It came very well packaged with plenty of cardboard and bubble wrap and foam between each plate and item, very impressed with the time and safety of the delivery.
