This is a very sparkly vintage ring that I believe is from the late 1940's into the 1950's or so....it has a great retro design and some very pretty diamonds.... (much brighter than I could capture in my photos!)

Sturdily crafted of solid 14K white gold, this ring features 20 diamonds total. Two of them are larger full cut stones and the other 18 are small old single cut diamonds.

The largest diamond is in the center, in a marquise shaped setting with a small diamond on either side. It is approximately 3.2 mm in diameter so I would estimate it to be approximately .10 carats or slightly more, perhaps. It's quite clean, white and fiery....completely eye-clean and I only see one tiny inclusion visible at a certain angle under magnification. I would estimate the color to be in the H-I range of near-colorless. Very pretty!

The other larger diamond is on one shoulder of the ring, nestled between the long "ribbon" of diamonds and the small stones that go down the shoulder. This diamond is also very clean, white and fiery and is approximately 3 mm, so would be another approximately .10 carats. I don't see any inclusions in this diamond but there is a very small nick along the girdle near a prong that can only be seen under magnification.

The other smaller diamonds range in size from approximately 1 to 1.5 mm in diameter. Most of them are very clean and white, though there are three that are a bit more of a light champagne color. They are all clean to the naked eye, though there are a few very tiny inclusions that I can see under 14x magnification. The prongs do show some wear, but aren't in need of an immediate retipping job. It's something to consider for the future longevity of the ring, though.

The face of the ring is approximately 15 mm at it's widest point and approximately 16 mm at it's longest....though with the design set at a nice angle, it is very comfortable while still being striking on the finger!

The band is simple and still strong, though it shows a bit of superficial wear and just a bit of thinning at the very back of the band. It still has a worn mark of "14K" on the inside of the band and what looks like a worn maker's mark, as well. The ring has a generous total weight of 4.20 grams.

Currently a size 8, this ring could be sized within reason by a good jeweler that is comfortable working on older rings. (** Please read my policies page for information regarding sizing or feel free to convo me to discuss it!)

This is a well crafted ring with a great retro design...just waiting for it's new life to begin!
