As a chalkware collector, this style and producer were completely new to me. These pieces are made buy the Roman Art Company and are labeled Robia Ware, with space for a serial number that has long worn off. The figures have a unique shiny brown finish which makes them appear almost as if they are made out of wood. They are chalkware, however and have the usual flea bites to show it!

The figures are Asian children, a boy and a girl, who have been picking flowers. They are 9 inches tall. The colors are very muted reds and yellows, with a little bit of green. Both piece has small chips on their flowers. The boy, however, was decapitated and repaired at some time and has additional chips on his face.

Despite their flawed nature, these remain two of the cutest and unique chalkware figurines I've seen. They will make a wonderful addition to any collection.
