HUSBAND AND WIFE vows renewal!

This bronze sculpture is an ideal symbolic gift for your vows renewal. Give this finely handcrafted rustic sculpture to your spouse on your wedding anniversary date. It is a day to cherish and remember with this symbolic keepsake.

Just 2.5 " in height, my miniature romantic loving bronze later becomes an attractive sculpture for your mantel, table, or stone / wood pedestal.

A selection of cast-bronze boy and girl children are available to add to your family portrait when the time comes!

As they are not mounted, they can be moved around and you can play dolls to communicate the "mood" of the day. You could use anything as a base or "seat" for them. They can be permanently mounted on their stone base too. Just select that option.
They can also sit on a picture frame or the rim of a flowerpot as one of my customers chose ;-). I have also put them on top of my computer monitor; there are endless seating opportunities.

The patina and the finish varies a bit, so keep in mind that they are very unique works of art and there are no two alike.

If you like them for yourself, I am delighted. If you want to give them as a wedding, anniversary or "any occasion" gift the receiving couple can each have their own, as they are two small individual sculptures.

They also make an excellent wedding cake topper, or stocking stuffer, maybe?

A little description of creation and casting process:

Creating an original bronze sculpture is quite involved and labor intensive.
I start out modeling the original either in clay or another sculpting material from wax to wood.
I sculpt with the human emotion and connectedness in mind. All of my little couples and families should convey that bond.
Upon completion a silicone rubber mold is created and covered with plaster for multiple reuses for my larger work. Then liquid hot wax is poured into to mold. When it's hardened it can easily be released from the mold. The unfinished wax copies are carefully reworked with sculpting tools.
Once the waxes are to my satisfaction, I send them to the foundry. They attach the spruces, dip them into a ceramic mixture until a shell of about and inch has built up. Then they are adding the waxes in their shell to the kiln. The wax is molten out and the negative is retained in the ceramic shell mold. Then the liquid bronze (it's super hot) is poured into this second mold. After a cooling time the shell is destroyed. The cleanup takes a while, and the rest is sandblasted. The spruces are roughly cut with a plasma cutter. Then I receive the raw bronze back.
Some welding might be necessary, as well as metal cutting, chasing, and sanding.
After the raw bronze is once more sandblasted and carefully cleaned, I apply the patina, either with hot or cold application, which takes a while to oxidize. Sometimes it takes a few days to get the desired result. Then parts are highlighted by polishing and a protective coating is sprayed on as a last finishing step.

The sculptures are created in the lost wax casting process. No pair is alike and the shape and patina vary. The sculptures are either waxed or sprayed with a protective coating that prevents further tarnishing. Occasional light dusting or polishing with a soft cloth will not harm your sculpture. Harsh cleaners or abrasives will damage the coating. If you have purchased a natural stone base with your sculpture, be aware that these are also one of a kind. Natural cracks and enclosures are adding to the texture of the stone. If your sculpture is unmounted, you can apply some museum putty to keep them in place. You can also move them around and play with them to express a mood.
If you want to mount them outdoors please contact me.
