Here we have a vintage 1940s dress made out of a rust/pumpkin orange slinky rayon. This was a bit hard to photograph as the color out doors came out too yellow and in doors too washed out. The color in person is a true pumpkin orange. It has the most amazing pleated and tucked details! In the front you have a pleated flat skirt panel with side pleates that come to a chevron point in the back. The back bottom skirt is longer creating a fishtail effect and super full and swishy. So flattering! Zips in back with a metal zipper.

CONDITION: Good. The fabric is strong and wearable. The dress does have a bit of the rayon 'shine' in spots from being ironed too hot and about 5 flea bite holes. The back of the skirt has an old shoddy repair to the hem that was done with visible red thread that feels stiffer than the rest of the dress. The dress was made using a yellow thread that you can see in a few spots at the seam lines, most noticably at the front bodice. The back has a bit of a pucker at the base of the zipper. It looks home made and it has been re-hemmed at one point using a few different colored threads, though it is a blind hem and you can't tell from the front. Still very wearable and has lots of life left in it!

SIZE: Medium. Bust measures 37", waist 28", hips 37"
