This a beautiful Vintage Spice Rack made by The Griffith Laboratories Inc. in Chicago Illinois. There are 12 White Milk Glass Spice Jars that measure 3 5/8" Tall x 1 3/8" Wide, all with Mustard Yellow Metal Lids. As you can see in the photos one of the lids has a rust spot. Ten of the jars have the tin sifter insert. Three of the jars have both the front and back label. Six of the jars only have portions of the front label. Two of the jars only have the back label and one jar has no labels.

The spice rack is made of Wood, metal and I think copper. The rack measures 131/2" Long x 3 1/2" Wide x 3 1/2" Tall. There is room for 16 Jars.

Here is a little information on Griffith Laboratories:

Griffith was founded in 1919. Around 1939, senior management wanted to make the Griffith Laboratories name familiar to the general public. The company came up with an imaginative and highly successful idea. Griffith created a set of twelve high-quality spices, each in its own stylishly designed, gleaming white glass jar. Each jar was sealed with an airtight cap with a convenient sifter top beneath.

Sold through the home furnishings departments of Marshall Field's, Macy's and other fine stores, the Griffith spice set was successful immediately.

When the supply of suitable plastic declined dramatically during World War II, Griffith changed the display rack material to wood. Which would date this Spice Rack between 1939 - 1945.

When I purchase postage for your shipment, if it is less than what you paid, I will issue a refund to your pay pal account for any amount over $1.00.
