Numbers of universities and schools are getting MUGIC® for students! By popular demand, we are having a limited sale. If you would like more than 5 (6 including the free MUGIC®!) please scroll down to "Message Mari" and contact me.
Already used in music, dance and theater performances, MUGIC® is a small, versatile and affordable WIFI motion sensor device that enables you to use your movements to control virtually anything in software. You can create sounds, control effects, change lighting parameters, generate visuals, and more. MUGIC® enables you to expand your control over your system and translate your movements into meaningful data.
Conceived in 2015 by violinist/composer Mari Kimura, the new prototype of MUGIC® (Music/User Gesture Interface Control) has been under development since 2018 at Calit2 (California Institute for Telecommunication and Information Technology) at the University of California, Irvine. The long awaited MUGIC® is FINALLY available for purchase for very limited quantity. At universities, conservatories and festivals, MUGIC® has been used in performances, in classes teaching and learning movements interacting with electronics.
Note: Since this is a prototype sensor with clear casing made from 3D-printed resin, the color of the casing could vary between clear, light blue and light green. A 3ft USB Micro cable is included.

One Year Guarantee:
MUGIC® is a prototype, not designed for mass production. We rigorously test the functionality before shipping, but it’s a small, complicated circuit board that could, in rare cases, malfunction. After troubleshooting and diagnosing, we will replace the unit, up to one year from the purchase date.
MUGIC® casing:
The 3-D printed resin casing consists of top cover and the bottom board. If the casing comes apart for some reason, you can glue it back carefully using a ‘super glue’, or any cyanoacrylate adhesives. Gorilla Glue, Loctite, Krazy Glue, others all make cyanoacrylate adhesives. Make sure the glue doesn't touch the circuit board.
Casing repair:
The MUGIC® is a prototype in limited production, and the casing is fragile, made of 3D-printed Resin. If the casing arrives broken, and if you contact us within 48 hours upon receiving the package, we will mail you a replacement casing for free. Please send the photograph of the broken casing to be eligible for this limited free casing replacement.
