This portrait was actually commissioned by my boyfriend for his mom after he saw the portrait Brian created for me last year. It was based on a vintage color photograph of him and his sister as kids. It came out perfectly! Brian and Cheri do an excellent job listening to your suggestions as needed and weaving them into the final work. Photo is of his framed print copy.

My friend's grandfather passed away, he was like a dad to her. So I decided to get her favorite photo of him done in a watercolor. I found BLS on etsy and sent them the photo. I was very worried about how it would turn out because the photo was all black and white. I gave him permission to interpret the photo and paint it how he wanted. He rendered it in color, the colors he chose just happen to look perfect in my friend's house. When she received the package she loved it, and was very moved! Best gift I have ever given! Thank you so much for the painting! It hangs in a place if honor at her home and she feels like her grandfather is watching over her!
