A highly complex, lavishly detailed belt buckle in layers of steel loosely based on the work of one of my favorite artists, Ernst Haeckel. Inspired by unicellular marine plants called diatoms, this buckle features recycled and fabricated steel parts synthesized into a cohesive whole. The parts used include a bearing race, roller chain links, freeze floats and domed copper 'eye'. This is a unique piece, one that I will not be duplicating, and truly a small work of art.

All steel is cleaned, brushed and sealed with a gloss clear coat.
Measures 3 1/4" in diameter, fits belts to 1 3/4" wide. Belt not included.
As always, finely crafted welded construction.
